Itinerary Summary

Day 1: Kampala to Kasese

• Departure: Kampala → Kasese (8-hour drive)
• Key Stops:
  • Mubende (Lunch break)
  • Evening arrival in Kasese (foothills of Rwenzori)

After breakfast, meet your guide and begin the journey west through Uganda’s rolling hills. Stop in Mubende for lunch, then continue to Kasese, where the Rwenzori’s snow-capped peaks loom in the distance. Check into your lodge, relax, and prepare for tomorrow’s hike.

Day 2: Trek to Sine Camp (2,596m)

• Hike stats: 1,450m → 2,680m (5-6 hours)
• Key Highlights:

  • Enock’s Falls (Photo stop)
  • Overnight at Sine Camp (Wooden huts near the waterfall)

Start early with a transfer to the trailhead. Trek through dense forests alive with monkeys and exotic flora like moss-covered bamboo. Spot the elusive L’Hoest monkey, revered by the local Bukonzo people. The trail culminates at Enock’s Falls, where crashing waters reward your efforts. Spend the night at Sine Camp, listening to the falls from your hut.

Day 3: Descent & Return to Kampala

• Morning descent to the foothills
• Drive back to Kampala (Evening arrival)
